- This national program for children ages 4 to 9 is designed to create a positive cross country ski experience so they will want to ski for a lifetime.
- The focus is on teaching children the fundamentals of cross country skiing in a safe and fun environment.
- The program is structured so that skills are learned progressively, moving from level to level.
- This program is recreational, but children who are eager to race DO have the opportunity to do so through CCY’s Grey Mountain Lions Club Yukon Race Series.
What do we get?

- Jackrabbit registration package with toque & skills accomplishment booklet
- Skill/technical level stickers – usually given to child at the end of the season
- Insurance coverage through Cross Country Canada

How much does it cost?
Community Jackrabbit Club - $28 per participant: Covers Jackrabbit materials, posters/booklets and stickers, as well as CCC insurance.
Leaders must be covered for insurance through Cross Country Canada and can register through the Jackrabbit process at a cost of $19 to cover CCY and CCC fees. Community groups may choose to pay for Leaders. For more information go the the Affiliation Page.
What are the steps to sign up for Jackrabbits?
1) Contact the CCY Community Programmer to arrange for your club to start a JR program.
2) Registration for participants is online only. CCY will set up the registration page for you after we confirm that you are going to run a Jackrabbit group. Contact us for assistance.
